Milibelle Dancer Of The Week

Introducing...

Andie

At only 12 years old, Andie has been dancing for almost 9 years with her dance family at Rogerson Elite Classical Training in Sydney. Her favourite styles are Jazz, Lyrical and Contemporary and she loves showcasing her solo routines including her favourite performance at Sydney Eisteddfod with a lyrical routine.

Andie truly lives and breathes dance with a fiery passion we just love! “I dance because it’s my way of making people happy and in a way I can connect with someone through doing something I love.”

Truly appreciating the impact of her teachers Andie says “I am so grateful for all my teachers I would not be the dancer I am today it it was not for them.”

Taking every opportunity to dance, Andie was chosen to perform at the end of Neale Whittaker’s Australian Dance Festival class as a stand out.

A One of Andie’s biggest influences is Holly Doyle, a Sydney Dance Company dancer saying “she is such an amazing dancer and choreographer.”

Andie’s favourite dance is her lyrical solo choreographed by the incredible Tahlysia Smedley to Whitney Houston’s song “I Have Nothing.” Saying “I love this dance because the song is so powerful and I can connect to it.”

We think Andie is just magic and can’t wait to see all the bright things in store for her future!
